Ankara Esenboğa International Airport will be the official welcome point
Esenboğa Airport (IATA: ESB, ICAO: LTAC) is the international airport serving Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. It entered service in 1955.
- 28 km to city center
- 40 km to campuses
- Shuttle buses will be used for transportation
- Participant universities will provide information about arrivals & departures
- Pick – up points will be located in two exits of Esenboğa Airport, volunteers will welcome the participant universities
- Official train station is “Ankara Gar”
- Participant universities will provide information about arrivals & departures if they decided to use train as a method of transportation
Transportation services from/to official welcome points during official competition days will be provided free of charge for all participants. The transportation from/to competition venue, training venue, catering and opening ceremony venue for participants will be provided in the following ways:
- Shuttle lines every 40 minutes
- In campus shuttle buses will be used
- In both campuses, the game field, training field, dormitories, and the cafeterias are within walking distance
- Shuttle buses from METU – Bilkent University Campuses at every 40 minutes
- Dedicated buses from airport to campus for each team.

If participants like to leave the campus, shuttle busses within the campus will bring them to the campus entrance, where the underground subway station located. Subway system at Ankara can easily carry participants to where they want to go. Ankara’s public transportation system is easy to use, participants can buy an Ankara Card which they can use in both subway and city buses. Ankara card can be bought and filled by credit cards with an ease from the machines, no need to speak Turkish for that. The city center (Kızılay) is about 20 minutes away from the campuses.
